How to Get into Google's Good Books?

If you want to get into Google's good books, then you gotta do these 2 things.

Register Your Domain Name for At Least 2 Years

Spammers/scammers tend to register domain names for only a year which is the minimum number of registered years for domain name.

Due to this behavior, Google will take that those who register their domain names for just one year are potential spammers/scammers (even though you may not be), so it's best for you to register for more than 1 year.

Does it mean that the more number of years you register for your domain name the better will Google rank your site?

Honestly, I'm not sure of this but from the logical point of view, it seems to work like that. But don't go register for 5 years straight if you're unsure of whether you'll be running your online business for that long.

2 - 3 years should be sufficient to tell Google that you're serious about your online business.

What I always do is I'll register the domain name for 2 years first, and if after 2 years I feel that I want to carry on with that online business that makes me profits, then I'll renew for another 3 - 5 years.

Of course if you're super serious about your online business, you can go straight to 10 years. Up to you.

Note!
Even if you renew your domain name yearly, you could get penalized for that because Google may interpret it as one-year registration. To be on the safe side, go for 2 years at least.

Include High Searched Keywords in Your Domain Name

Now if you notice when you do your search on search engines, keywords in domain names will also be searched.

As you can see from above, somebody did a search for "make money". Since my domain name "iOneMoney.com" contains the keyword "money" (see the red arrow), hence it contributes to my search ranking. Any keyword found will be bold printed.

That means if your domain name contains keywords that many people are searching for, then your search ranking would definitely go a few hundred positions higher than many others.

Note!
Make sure the keywords in your domain name are relevant to what you're offering on your website.

You can use some specialized keyword research tools or software (like Keyword Elite or Word Tracker) to help you find out which are the hottest search queries and see if what you offer matches the world's interest so that you can tweak your domain keywords to make them more searchable by search engine users.
