Browser Upgrade
"Upgrade Your Web Browser for Faster and Safer Surfing Experience... for Free!"
Web browser is an application for accessing and displaying web pages. Right now you're using it to view this web page. So, this is your web browser.
But what is the type of web browser you're using right now? Is it the latest version? (You can check the version by clicking the [Help] menu along the top and then select [About 'your browser name'] from the dropdown menu.)
If not, I'd suggest you to upgrade your web browser to the latest version for optimum surfing experience. (Scroll down for more tips on web browsers...)
The Rise of Fire Fox!
Being the most popular web browser in the world, Microsoft's Internet Explorer (IE) has become the "apple" of hackers' eye.
Here are the few good reasons why hackers simply "love" IE:
About 70% of internet surfers are using IE now, so it has automatically become the hackers' best vehicle to help spread their ingeniously-written viruses around like a raging fire.
IE has become more and more complex and has already far exceeded its root function as a web browser. Because of its complexity, more bugs have surfaced, leading to more security loopholes for the hackers.
IE's complexity has also led to the slow loading of web pages, and browsing the web seems to get slower too.
As a result, many ex-IE users are now switching to Fire Fox for a more secure and faster browsing experience.
Besides, more and more web software or application are built and tested for Fire Fox browser rather than IE.
That's why when you use Fire Fox to access most web applications nowadays, you'll realize that the loading of the web application is relatively much faster than you're using IE (or other browsers).
Below is a poll results I extracted from a forum recently, take a look.
By the way, even if you're running IE on your computer, it's no conflict to install a Fire Fox browser. Make it your standby browser in case you need it.
On top of that, if you own a website, it's good to have other major web browsers to help you test out whether your web pages will also display properly in them or not other than your default browser.
Web browsers like Fire Fox and IE may have some different interpretations when it comes to displaying web pages. So, it doesn't hurt by installing a few major browsers in your desktop for testing or standby purposes (like mine -- see below).
